Working projects etc.

Got a lot on at the minute! Got a new project brief of "Body". Pretty broad so I'm hoping that once I get into it I'll have a lot of decent outcomes, quite excited about it really. Being introduced into an AV workshop tomorrow too so I should be making a small video type thing which I've never even thought about doing so fingers crossed that goes well too! On top of that I have to pull together my last project and get my uni application sorted, so blogging may be a bit scarce!

Mark Quinn.

So I watched a film yesterday about Mark Quinn (I've forgotten the name already though). It's rekindled my love for Mark Quinn's work. Well, most of it. What had the most impact on me was how he had such interesting theories behind each piece he produces. Usually I'm not a huge fan of sculpture work but everything he does has a really unique twist that I find really interesting. Whether it's making a sculpture of his own head from his blood or marble sculptures of people with deformities, they're all pretty awesome ideas.

For part of my most recent project I was given the themes health and science, sculpture and found objects and plants/nature. I decided to concentrate on drugs and that surrounding topic, and made these syringes and capsules full of leaves. It was very fiddly. 

Fresh start.

So, the idea behind this blog is to keep it along side the work I'm doing. Eventually I should be posting regular stuff that I've made and stuff that inspires me. If I remember that is...
